We are hosting our 2023 family fun day on the 26th August, there will be plenty on offer including: music, tombola, food, stalls, a raffle, a bouncy castle and much more. The event will be held at Balmore Country House with the address details on the poster below.

It will run for 3 hours and is sure to be jam-packed with fun and games for the whole family.

And the best part about it is that entry is free for everybody – we hope to see you there!

With the weather being absolutely gorgeous the past week, a couple of residents from Orchard House took the opportunity to visit the Ruddington Village Market – they enjoyed a cup of tea out in the sunshine before having a walk around and looking at what was on display.

It was a wonderful day out and there was plenty of great choices throughout the market!

Everyone thought the ceremony was pure perfection and loved watching the King receive his crown. We had a fantastic spread laid on at Balmore to mark the occasion which everyone tucked into. Many thanks to our kitchen team for all their hard work.

It’s always lovely to celebrate a Birthday at Orchard House and this week has been the turn of our lovely resident Theresa, who celebrated her 70th. There was a fab cake lots of balloons and cards.

She had a great day and would like to thank everyone who made it so special.

Congratulations are also in order for the Clifton All Whites Under12’s Red team that we sponsor. They have had a terrific season and have remained unbeaten. What a fantastic achievement and we are very proud of them.

Escaping from the next door field, these sheep were attracted by the lovely grounds here at Balmore Country House. We had fun (if that is the right word) trying to round them up and get them back into the field where they belong…but unfortunately they didn’t want to stay there.

It took the farmer to come and sort things out.

The maintenance man here in Ruddington celebrated his birthday this week, and although he tried to hide it from us all, there was no getting away with it. So it’s a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY from all staff and residents throughout the three Ruddington homes.

Also a big thank you to the cook at Balmore Country House for the lovely cake – which didn’t last long!

One of the joys of St Peter’s being in the centre of Ruddington is that our residents can get into the village easily and enjoy the community and everything it has to offer. Here’s a couple of lovely pictures of our resident Pauline doing just that last week.
