At Orchard House we don’t expect to be thanked all the time for what we do for our residents, but when something unexpected comes along it’s really nice. And that was the case yesterday when we received this lovely thank you poem from one of our residents.

What a lovely thought – we were all very touched.

Thank you in return – it made our day!

St Peter’s residents really enjoyed themselves celebrating Valentine’s Day yesterday. They had been hard at work undertaking all sorts of Valentine’s themed pursuits. Form word searches to colouring to card and poster making – everything we needed to mark the day.

The home looks lovely and was decorated specially for the day. The roses are in the vases, the heart shaped chocolates are everywhere and the champagne is flowing!

A Perfect day really!

Here are some lovely pictures of a whole lot of love in the air at Orchard House yesterday. We had a lovely Valentine’s meal with lots of hugs, kisses, cards and presents. It just goes to show that true love never dies….and we certainly saw that with our couples yesterday.

A really lovely day was had by all.

A great afternoon was had recently by the lovely residents of St Peter’s courtesy of entertainer Kellan. There was lots of singing and dancing enjoyed by everyone.

They love Kellan coming to the home and can’t wait for when he is back again.

Last Sunday saw the residents of Orchard House getting creative in a floral way. Along with help from visitor Chris, we had a terrific session of flower arranging. We think the results speak for themselves – they are really beautiful, and everyone who took part should be proud of their creations.

The home looks and smells even lovelier now!

We had a fantastic time this week at Balmore House celebrating the 101st Birthday of our lovely resident Joyce. We had a great party with music and dancing – entertainment being supplied by regular visitor Kellan.

Joyce had a lovely time and would like to thank everyone who made her day so special.

At Orchard House our lovely residents have been getting creative this week. With the weather so beautiful outside they have been looking forward to seeing the garden spring to life and have reflected this on the paintings they have been doing. Helped by the lovely Chris from Inspiration Florals they have produced some lovely artworks.

A really enjoyable activity for everyone.

At St Peter’s we like learning about different cultures and experiencing new things. This week we have been celebrating the Chinese New Year. The home was decorated beautifully and the highlight was a lovely day Chinese meal, cooked by our brilliant kitchen angel Katrina.

We invited friends over from both Orchard and Balmore Country House to share the different dishes.

A great time, enjoyed by all.

A brilliant afternoon was had by all at Orchard House this week when we had a fab Afternoon Tea accompanied by entertainment courtesy of Kellan Trinder. Our lovely residents, as well as those from Balmore and Orchard House couldn’t resist the urge to get up and dance the day away.

Lots of laughs, great exercise and a brilliant afternoon all round.

Orchard House were treated to a really fun time recently, courtesy of visiting singer Kellan Trinder. He delighted a packed conservatory with a selection of well known favourites. Nothing could stop our lovely residents from joining in both singing and dancing.

Everyone had a really fun time that left big smiles on their faces.
