Residents at St Peters had lots of fun recently, as we were paid a visit by The Hermitage Centre Preschool. Everyone enjoyed a session of colouring in some Christmas themed drawings, as well as a little festive singalong to get us all in the Christmas mood. Of course, we had to dress for the occasion with our Santa hats!

It was a brilliant way to start the day and had all of our residents in high spirits.

At St Peters we have not only gained one Elf on the Shelf, but in fact a whole army of working elves! Our wonderful staff have now become Santa’s little helpers for the Christmas season and will continue to help out residents in every corner of the home and provide them with some fantastic entertainment, with a little bit of a festive spark added to it!

Residents here at St Peters were busy during our recent Creative Paths session, as we put a festive spin on things! Everyone took part in some Christmas crafts as we created some beautiful decorations for the home out of old wrapping paper. We had lots of fun creating a wide selection of different decorations that will fit perfectly on our tree and around the walls of the home.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon that has got us even more in the Christmas spirit than before – only 21 days to go!

Our lovely residents at St Peters are getting excited about the Christmas festivities that are just around the corner. As you can see the home has now been overtaken by Christmas decorations, the scent of spice is in the air, and trees and lights have appeared in our Christmas areas – which our residents are in love with.

We can’t wait for all the fun activities and games we have in store over the coming weeks!…

A couple of our lovely residents at The Ruddington took a short trip to Nottingham Centre for a day out recently. Joyce and Marcus spent some time in the Kitty Cafe and had lots of fun with some four-legged friends.

It was a fantastic day feeling the festive spirit a little as we get closer and closer to Christmas and more decorations are appearing, like this huge tree in the centre!…

We woke up to a beautiful sight this morning, as the grounds around the home are covered in a layer of snow. We will be enjoying ourselves and keeping warm inside with some great views as we go about our activities.

At St Peters, our residents were treated to a wonderful remembrance show last weekend courtesy of the always wonderful Kevin and Marie. They wowed us with a variety of excellent songs and outfits as everyone danced and sang along.

It was a lovely day for all as we paid our respects to the fallen.

At Ruddington Retirement Village, we have had the honour of sponsoring the front of Clifton All Whites Boys football shirts for a while now, and we had the biggest smiles on our faces receiving their latest team photo with the My Care branding on the front.

Here’s hoping they have a successful season and enjoy themselves!

The latest visit from our good friends from Creative Paths was thoroughly enjoyed by the lovely residents of Balmore House this week. Everyone had a fantastic time and lots of fun creating their own works of art. With Remembrance Week in mind it led to several gorgeous floral paintings being produced – brilliant creations that came with lovely, thoughts behind them in honour of fallen soldiers.

Residents at St Peters enjoyed a lovely Halloween activity yesterday, as we experienced a comedy and magic show. It was such great fun to witness and for some of our residents to get involved in a few of the magic tricks that left them with more than a few questions!

We had an excellent day celebrating Halloween and it was amplified by these excellent tricks and the humour that was mixed in.…
