A lovely evening……

Here at Ruddington Retirement Village we had another lovely evening with the knitting ninjas. June, Barbara and Kathleen from Balmore popped over and joined in. June enjoyed reminiscing about Nottingham lace and Barbara amazed us all with her knitting without having to think or look at what she was doing. Jan our activities coordinator also had a lesson in how to knit from the ninjas and Barbara.

The Knitting Ninjas are a fantastic local group bringing joy to Ruddington on a daily basis – we are happy to be associated with them and support them whenever possible.

Pancake Perfection!….

St Peter’s kitchen team did themselves proud on Pancake Day with a lovely treat for all our residents. They could have a choice of toppings, but fresh fruits seemed to be the most popular.

Everything tasted yummy, so big thanks to the hard working team in the kitchen, from all your satisfied pancake eaters!

Convivial company….

Here at St Peter’s one of the things that our residents most look forward to is our weekly coffee mornings. It’s a chance for them to get together over a cuppa and a biscuit and have a good chat. It’s a lovely event and has become something of a St Peter’s tradition.

Anyone is welcome and we are sure that it will continue to be as popular as it is now.

A really fun time….

Residents from both Balmore and St Peter’s got together last week to enjoy a fab show from regular visitors Kevin and Marie. The king was in the house and inspired lots of us to get up and dance and sing.

A real fun event that was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Getting creative…

Residents at Orchard House had a visit from the lovely people at Creative Paths last week. They all combined together to produce this stunning artwork. Everyone really enjoyed the session and were so pleased with what they managed to create.

A fantastic session for encouraging engagement and keeping those fine motor skills in tune – but above all a lot of fun!

Keeping fit at St Peter’s….

Helping our residents to stay as fit and healthy as possible is an important part of the care we give at St Peter’s. Our residents love the weekly sessions we hold with Sophie G fitness. She puts them through their paces and makes sure they stay as mobile and healthy as possible.

On top of that the sessions are great fun!

Out and about….

Some of our residents from Orchard House decided to get out into the village recently for a natter, coffee and cake, and what better place to do that than our local Bottle Top Cafe. A recent winner of a Rudd Award, it’s a great cafe, and the cake was seriously yummy!

We’ll be back!

A lovely day…..

Valentine’s is always special at St Peter’s and today has been no exception. We have had a wonderful day which has been enjoyed by all. We’ve had a special Valentine’s lunch for all our residents, with wives and husbands coming together with us for a meal and a glass of champagne. The home has looked lovely and the meal was delicious.

Thank you to everyone who helped make today special for all.
